Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about Simora and eSIM technology.

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card built into your device. Instead of inserting a physical SIM card, you activate a mobile plan by scanning a QR code. It works just like a regular SIM but without the plastic card.
Most smartphones released after 2019 support eSIM, including iPhone XR and later, Samsung Galaxy S20 and later, and Google Pixel 3 and later. Check your phone settings under Mobile Data or Cellular — if you see an "Add eSIM" option, your phone is compatible.
After purchasing a plan, you will receive a QR code. Go to Settings > Mobile Data > Add eSIM on your phone, scan the QR code, and the eSIM profile will install automatically. The process takes about 2-5 minutes.
Yes. Our eSIM plans run as a secondary data line alongside your existing SIM. Your regular number stays active for calls and texts, while the eSIM handles your mobile data.
Your plan validity begins when the eSIM first connects to a supported network in the coverage area. You can install the eSIM before your trip and it will activate automatically when you arrive at your destination.
When your data allowance is used up, the eSIM will stop providing data. You can purchase a new plan or top up your balance to buy additional data at any time.
Our eSIM plans are data-only. You can make voice and video calls using apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, FaceTime, or Zoom over your data connection.
You top up your account balance with your preferred amount (minimum £10). Your balance is stored in GBP and can be used to purchase any eSIM plan. If you switch display currency, prices are shown in your selected currency but charged from your GBP balance.
We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa and Mastercard. All payments are processed securely with 3D Secure authentication.
We offer refunds for unused eSIM plans within 30 days of purchase. Once an eSIM has been activated (connected to a network), it cannot be refunded. Balance top-ups are non-refundable but never expire.
Yes, you need a Wi-Fi or existing mobile data connection to download the eSIM profile. After installation, the eSIM will use its own mobile data connection.
No, each eSIM is linked to a single device. If you switch phones, you will need to purchase a new eSIM plan for the new device.
